Siegfried Finser '50 | Navigating Our Destiny Moments

Destiny moments—are they real?  Can we recognize them, prepare for them, and respond to them? Do we experience these moments alone, or do we share them, and if so, with whom and why? Can believing in destiny moments become knowing?

About Siegfried E. Finser, Founder and Trustee of RSF Social Finance:

Siegfried Finser taught seven years at the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City, and was a Human Resource consultant for clients such as Pepsico, The Equitable, and other corporations.  He managed a Division of Xerox Corp. and held worldwide responsibility for Executive Development at ITT.  Mr. Finser has been Treasurer of the Anthroposophical Society in America for a dozen years and President of the Threefold Educational Foundation in New York.  He has studied the research and work of Rudolf Steiner throughout his life.  In 1981 he founded the Rudolf Steiner Foundation—RSF Social Finance —to develop new approaches to working with money and to finance socially constructive activities and projects.

Mr. Finser holds a B.A. from Rutgers University and an M.A. in Educational Psychology from New York University.  He frequently lectures on the nature of money and the healing potential in monetary transactions.  In 2007, Mr. Finser wrote and published Money Can Heal, currently available at major bookstores and on the web. He has published Footprints of an Angel, the story of a man trying to understand how major events occurred at turning points in his life, as well as Collision, a story about how evil occurs, and its sequel Lonely Expiation about how evil is atoned. He has written several children’s books: Pogo, Aramascus and the Flower, and The Last King, a play for the turning point in Grade Six. He has published 47 short stories for The Irony in Livingcollection. A few of his books will be available at his talk.  

Mr. Finser lives in Mill Valley, California. His wife of sixty years, a teacher and therapeutic Eurythmist, passed on February 7, 2016.  He has two sons, a daughter, a foster son and daughter, seven grandchildren, and now two great grandchildren. He is still trying to live up to the magnificence of his two esteemed sons, Torin M Finser and Mark A. Finser.
