Educational Support Teacher

Full-time position for 2019-20 school year
About the Position
High Mowing School is now accepting applications for an enthusiastic and experienced Educational Support teacher for the 2019-20 school year. A trained remedial teacher, s/he cares about the sensory, emotional, and educational challenges many students experience, understand IEPs and know how to serve students who need accommodations in a Waldorf way. Working closely with our Educational Support Coordinator, s/he delivers healing remedial education to students primarily in grades 1–8.

Qualifications
Our preferred candidate is an experienced teacher trained in Waldorf education and/or remedial/curative education. Dynamic and actively engaged, s/he wishes to contribute to a lively community of faculty, staff, and students. S/he seeks a challenging yet supportive, home like school environment where s/he can grow professionally and personally.
  • Graduate degree and/or
  • Waldorf teaching certificate
Compensation
The compensation for the position includes:  
  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Health, dental, life, LTD
  • Up to 4% contribution to 403(b) retirement
  • Tuition remission 90%
