Pine Hill 2011-12 annual campaign
Dear Pine Hill Alumni Parents,
Children come into this world with such gifts. Yet we don’t need to look far to see so many ways in which these gifts are squandered.
Deep inside us, we want to see life on earth and humankind thriving. Yet we don’t need to look far to see destructive conditions and damaged lives that may never recover.
One way to see clearly what’s in front of us is to ask, “What if it weren’t here?” What if there was no Pine Hill Waldorf School?
We know that for our family, Pine Hill provided all that we needed when we needed it: wise and caring faculty and administrators dedicated to growing not just minds and bodies, but also hearts and souls; a warm and inspiring community that enabled our son to find himself at his own pace and in his own way, with feet firmly planted on solid earth and able to reach to the stars of his own choosing. And this community was home to us as well, truly a village for raising healthy human beings.
In our Facebook and Twitter world, it’s easy to succumb to the pull of each moment’s call and forget how we got to where we are. We can so easily take for granted what we have, yet deep within us we know that our true nature is to give thanks and support to those who gave so much to us—to share what we now know is returned in a bountiful cycle.
We invite you to join our family this year and give in generous spirit to Pine Hill’s Annual Giving Campaign, this wonderful school that does what it does so well.
