and GOLD clothing and deck your hair with flowers or wreaths of greenery.
The day includes a spring play to chase the winter away, and a forsythia / green bough procession (everyone bring a forsythia bough or forsythia greens to put into the buckets by the front doors!). Our 6th graders will perform the maypole dance accompanied by our 7th grade musicians. It is a fun day for the whole family, including grandparents and friends. All are warmly welcome!
Food The school will provide a mid-morning snack before we break for our work day. Parents, please bring a picnic lunch for your family.
Schedule for the Day Like Michaelmas in the fall, the Spring Festival is considered a school day for grades children.
Here is a preview of the schedule for the day:
Teachers will dismiss their students immediately following the dancing, before snack time. At that point parents are responsible for their children.
Rain or Shine! We will hold our spring festival even if it rains! If the weather is rainy, we will have an abbreviated celebration and will meet in the auditorium at 9 a.m. for the spring play, followed by the dancing, snack and coffee.
