Drum Circle

A drum is very approachable, everyone can drum, therefore it breaks
down barriers that other instruments in their complexity may produce.
A drum can lead to personal transformation, create a meditative
life with others, helps us connect to our inner rhythms as well as
our community. It can also create a ‘healing circle’ and a way to
celebrate joy. Come and join our circle and discovermusicality and the spirit
of the drum circle. We also welcome singers, stringed instruments and
flutes. All are welcome to join in creating a vibrant drumming community here
at the Children’s Village at Pine Hill Waldorf School!

David Scott graduated from the Rudolf Steiner College Teacher Training Program and
is currently the fourth grade class teacher at Pine Hill. His first exposure to a Drum Circle
was in Davis, California where he found that the circle provides a way to communicate to others through the
power of rhythm making. Mr. Scott has three children also attending Pine Hill.
