Day Hike to Mount Lafayette

Pine Hill parent and hiking and mountaineering enthusiast Kevin Ramundo is going to share his expertise by taking 8 kids (ages 8 & 9 with a parent, 10 & above do not need a guardian) on a day hike to Mount Lafayette.  Mount Lafayette, located just east of I-93 (aka Franconia Notch Parkway) in Franconia Notch, is the highest peak in New Hampshire's White Mountains outside of the Presidential Range (6th highest overall). This is one of the most popular hiking peaks in the White Mountains because there is a popular 8.9 mile loop hike that is all class 1 and the summit is above treeline. On a clear day, you will have excellent views of Mount Washington and the Presidential Range looking east from the summit.  Kevin knows which trails to take to avoid the busloads of people from Boston & which trails offer the best opportunity for a successful summit.  He has a ton of experience from completing a winter traverse of the Presidential range twice to summiting Mount Rainer to climbing all of New Hampshire’s 4000 foot peaks.  Please send your child with a water bottle, packed lunch, and a snack.

Inanna Storytelling

Do you know the story of Inanna, Queen of Heaven and Earth?  If you seek to discover purpose and meaning and hunger to know the wisdom of your sorrow and your joy, come experience the story of Inanna's Descent.  There are facets of the human experience that we all share and patterns and cycles of life that are the same now as they were 4000 years ago when these stories were first written on clay tablets.  Hear Inanna’s story, discover you in it, and begin to unfold the answers to your heart’s deepest questions.  Women only, please.
